Apparently Canon will be coming out with at new 70-200 2.8 IS Mk II. As an owner of this particular lens MkI now, I must say that I'm completely happy with it. What is it that the new version will actually do better than the current version?

I can't wait! ?? That doesn't make sense, and was never mentioned by any sources. The only stated improvements in the Canon release were: improved IS, improved optics, improved ergonomics, fancy new lens hood, higher new price. Jan 10, 2010 19:50 | #5 There was some ambiguous statement on the press release about the new version having an autofocus that is optimized for the 7D and 1D Mark IV but I haven't seen anything quantifiable yet. Maybe someone else can provide some info. Jim
