Southern California Big Weekend Swell pt 1.

Southern California had a beautiful set up this weekend so I went out and took a bunch of shots. Part 1 includes Saturday. This was probably the eventful photo day I have had in awhile. I must warn you ahead of time that one of the photos is somewhat disturbing (Ghost,Paranormal,Ange​l,Merman?).

I must admit that the merman (or whatever it is) is strange. The water is cold, and the only thing I can tell is that he's not wearing a wetsuit, but he is wearing some kind of Middle Eastern headwear.

my conclusion is that he was distance swimming, its not uncommon people to train for triathlons around those waters. However I did not see him at all when I was shooting and Im pretty observant so Im not sure

Nice Im going to post part 2 in just a second which includes Oceanside pier shots. When I went to Swami's the tide was out so I was able to go down the steps and walk over to the tide pool/reef area.I was using my xt with the ef 75-300mm, nothing fancy.

That blond merman looks like Dog the Bounty Hunter. He was probably out there looking for a bail jumper! haha
