Baby Pics

Here's a few I'd like some feedback on. All pics are of my nephew Jameson. I was in the B&W mood today.

I like #3, but #4 has the most personality and the best lighting IMHO

Any other thoughts?

#1 It is noisy and has motion blur in the hand. Of all the pics I think THIS one should be B&W to try to hide the difficulties of low light shooting. The focus is on the hair and not the eyes making the whole shot look out of focus.
#2 The picture is more about the person kissing the baby than of the baby itself. This is not bad if that was your intention, but I feel it would be nicer to show a little bit more of the face of the baby.
#3 The focus is on the nose and not the eyes. Again it gives the whole picture an out of focus appearance. It was taken with a wide lens that distorts the face. It is not flattering for the baby.
#4 Highlight are a little bit blown out... but it is a cute photo. The vignetting is a good idea but a little bit harsh.

#1: main issue is IQ / aperture f/3.5, ISO 1600, 1/13s, 18mm*1.6 - would suggest resting the camera on something, closing up the aperture, using ISO 400 or lower...

#2: very good shot, good moment to capture and a good composition

#3: upper and lower parts don't seem to relate...?

#4: excellent... as gyounis says, lots of personality. Tones work well through most of it. Of the four, this is the only one where we can see facial expressions and understand the inter-personal context - gives a hint to character, and a bubbly mood. Charming.

I see a facial expression in No 3. And the only reason it does not look right is because it is too many pixels. Right click it and hit view image and it will open a new window and fit the image to it.

I'd try a naked sleeping baby pic next time if I were you
