I'm still looking for that button that everybody presses in a cockpit of a large jetliner that causes the plane to skydive towards the ground... Been working nine years as a pilot now and I still haven't found it. What's up with that? :)

How 'bout the first or 2nd episode of 24 last season, when the airline pilot was ordered by the evil "air controllers" to descend and he pushed the throttles forward.

I love it best when the driver of a car spends ages looking at and talking to the person in the passenger seat. Whilst doing this they are turning the steering wheel through about 90 degrees.

Now tell me - who has been shot at the most Bruce Willis or Steven Seagal?

Actually, add enough thrust and the aircraft will pitch up far enough to make it stall. That's one way to go down :D

Next time you watch it, count the hubcaps that the bad guys' car loses during the chase.

And count how many times he drives past the same VW Beetle

Sorry if I missed it, but it seems nobody has mentioned this one:
Whenever a car crashes, it will explode about 5-8 seconds later. Pretty amazing, right?

Except it never pitches up the movies.

Sometimes it explodes just before impact, which is even more amazing.

Except the hero's car, that one exlodes after he/she got out safe. What are the odds?

And how about all those microphones which feedback for half a second as soon as anyone talks into it?

And our hero can open any door, any time, anywhere, except when there's someone inside a burning house he/she is trying to safe.

Didn't you know that cars are designed to explode if they go airborne?

Hollywood's been ignoring both the laws of physics and common sense for a loooong time. It's become a part of their tradition.

In "Ben-Hur," the chariot racecourse is a long oval with prominent statuary at each end. Explain how the racers pivot around three ends to go around the course once.

And I love those twelve-shooters the heroes had in most of the old westerns.

The Simpsons love taking the mickey about this one. They once had a pram crash into a wall and immediately burst into flames.
