I am in need of a new lab to send my color negative film to for developing (no prints). The one chain lab in my town, which has been around for 100+ years, provides horribly scratched negatives. Horizontal scratches (C41 roller process) but also vertical and diagonal scratches as if they let the negative bounce against table edges and metal parts and I'm fed up with how long it takes to heal them out after I scan them. Some of these scratches can be across nearly a whole frame.
And it's not my scanner or cameras because I take my b+w negative film to a traditional non-automated lab and my slide film (developed by the same place I now take my color negative film to) both do not have scratches like I mentioned above.
Any suggestions? I'm in the USA. I'm looking for clean unscratched negatives.
