Just upgraded from mark iii today after persisting with it for over a year. Mark iii very hit and miss for AF tracking and produced a lot of oof and soft images. Mark iv hit the ground running and showed signs of being a great camera. More consistent and accurate tracking and less oof images. One slight drawback seems to be the speed of AF locking onto the subject which appears to be a fraction slower than the mark iii.
Here's a sample of today's test run under very overcast dull conditions. All shot with Sigma 120-300 f2.8 lens

Alan - superb set and the merc in #3 is bang on [thumbs up]

Perfectcly Frank - love the shot but I think your sensor needs a clean.

Red Dog: can't / wont comment on the action as I detest 'poofball' with a passion BUT I can comment on photo's on the whole and without a doubt they are really nice and sharp and the colours are to die for

Few from Heybridge Basin - it was bleak and grey but very still - few that I actually quite liked, as usual handheld 1Dmk4 & 300mm 2.8 mk2 with 1.4 extender

#1 - 1/1000, f/4, iso 200 - dipping the toe (as taken)

That's from too many lens changes at a windy air show :(

Your dipping the toe shot is really nice.
