Man this camera locks on like a bloodhound.

Just tested it by tracking cars moving past my house with trees getting in the way.
I'm using my father's 70-200 2.8 IS
The camera did lose focus only when there were a LOT of trees in the way for a medium amount of time. Stepping in front of some of the trees (though not all - thereby minimising the amount of distraction) made the camera keep focus lock on the cars.
I'll be seeing how it works by varying the AF sensitivity shortly.

SO much to learn!!

Those High ISO shots are simply amazing. I'm using a 50D, so it's logical that noise..is something I don't like to raise above 1600/3200, except for small shots on newspaper/web. There are plenty of ISO 12800 shots with IV and have such a low amount of noise. Not fair!

Looks like Canon fixed one major gripe I have with the 1DIII - the W/B... I find myself often correcting W/B (after shooting in AWB) in shots that were taken under tungsten light. The shots on the 1DIII always appear yellower than they should. As if the 1DIII doesn't know how to properly handle tungsten hues...

The exposures are significantly different - perhaps a stop apart. I can't see the EXIF - what were the shutter speeds and aperture?

The biggest thing I see here is that the first shot (1Ds3) was very underexposed.
