tv - 1/100
av - 2.8
lens - 16-35 2.8 II

Wow - that's a big difference in exposure levels considering that they had the same ISO, Tv, and Av.

A buddy came over last night and brought a couple of his toys. He wanted pictures of them... who am I to say no?

Here's the shot I decided to run with.

LOL, he's a nice guy. He just likes guns. :D

This is him. I don't know if I really like this shot... it was done quickly before he had to go. I wanted to throw more light from the top down to bring out more details, and probably soften the light coming from the left. I'll probably delete this image... :) But this is him anyway.

Very nice Garand! And the Springfield Armory .45 looks very nice as well.

George Patton had good things to say about that rifle.

I like it - it puts more of the accent on the gun and not the shooter.

AF related if I remember correctly...
Hah. :D

"The updated EOS-1D Mk IV firmware is said to improve performance of the camera's autofocus tracking function, both for receding subjects and those that are approaching the camera at low speed."

What is the definition of slow? How slow? I wonder if they felt that bullet hitting their toe?

Well, it looks like the Mark IV may not be all it's quacked up to be.

I love the line

In a typical burst sequence, the camera would get the first two shots perfectly in focus and then would get bored and stop tracking the bird.
