I met an Irish photographer yesterday at the St Augustine rookery. He said he recently saw this cartoon: a wife enters the front door of the house and all throughout the house are roses... in vases, in bunches on every flat surface and rose pedals on the floor.

The caption: oh, no... not another lens.

Haha! Great shot! Was going to compliment it with this similar one of mine, but realized I shot it with my 5D MkII :)

difference between fisheye and 24mm should be bigger finally.. i wish i could get closer for more dramatic effect..
BUT the "model" was constantly licking the front element.. had to slightly step backwards for gear-hygiene-safety reasons :D

No, it won't work like that at all.
FAT32 and exFAT are proprietary file formats by Microsoft.

The format functions in Windows depend on the OS version and on 32 or 64 bit of that OS and on the size of the media targeted to format. In other words those criteria will limit what you as the user can actually do.

Your method will fail miserably on every 64 bit OS if the card is larger than 32 gig. In Win10 the windows format tool will not even give you an option.

Trust me....

Cheers

I'm running Windows 10... I do get the option. That being said, I do not have a card larger than 32GB to test on. But, it does work on 32 and down, for sure. I have always been able to do this, on all my 64-bit Windows OS's. I may also be misunderstanding

In Win10 the windows format tool will not even give you an option.

, but I took that to mean Windows 10 won't do it with any card, of any size.

If you don't even have a card larger than 32 gig, your effort is pointless.

Cheers.

I ended up just buying a couple of the older 32 GB SD cards. They are inexpensive at the moment anyway and I only use them for backup. Until the other day, I had never filled up an empty 32 GB card so I was a bit shocked.

When you've never had a camera shut down because a card was full, it takes a second to get one's bearings. Changing out an SD card takes a few seconds and now I have a couple spares.

Candid capture of legendary NBA photographer Andy Bernstein chatting it up with LA Clippers' pointGOD, Chris Paul, before the game... They were talking about Kobe Bryant's retirement from the NBA... Hehehehe... You can see Paul Pierce entering my frame from the right... JJ Redick (red jacket) is doing hand/leg stretches to the left of the frame... And Deandre Jordan practicing his free throws (good boy)!!! Canon 1D4 + 8-15L Fisheye... ISO 1600, f/9 @ 1/200sec... Staples Center arena spot lights for illumination...

;)

This guy showed up at the pond behind our station. This is after coming up from the water, presumably grabbing a snack. I was watching and waiting for him to do something, then got distracted and missed it. Oh well. Didn't have time to wait around for him to do it again.

I've had trouble getting a photograph of a Spoonbill that I like even a little bit. Here are a couple efforts:
