Just to serve up the great specs of the 1Dx, I decided to shoot a few band competition shots at high ISO. These are only good for web-sized images (and that is questionable), so I could only imagine how much better these would be on a body that has a native 51200. :)

First a couple of 51200..

A couple of 102400, yikes... Not even sure a b&w conversion would make this any better at all.

Found one more 51200, again, the most I ever go on the 1D4 is 12800 personally. Now I remember why I made that decision last year when I bought the 1D4. :D

Yeah I know between the grass and the jeans I was not to sure how to deal with that problem. I wish the grass was a little shorter where we were but it was not and I was also trying to use the sun to my advantage so I only had so many choices. I will be doing a few more sets for a portfolio so I will work on that. I liked the shot overall so I included it in the set.

Question for you guys. I was out shooting my 1D4 this weekend and had a couple sets of pictures go greatly underexposed. I caught it, looked over my settings to make sure I hadn't done something accidentally, saw nothing and went back to shooting. Both times, the second set of shots was exposed correctly under the same lighting conditions.

Any one had this happen or know why the camera would do something like that? Focal point was the same for the 2 sets of shots - a black bear in a bean field under cloudy skies. No areas of tremendous light to throw off exposure.
