Hi db, Thank you for your comment. The Fieldfare and Redwing are birds (thrushes) that comes to the UK for the winter and although they are fairly numerous they tend to stay in the country side away from humans. In the UK at the moment we have a big freeze and the weather is driving these birds into the gardens in search of food. My resident Fieldfare is feeding of the rose hips from my rose hedge.

LOL - Having a bush or hedge with berries on helps Ken, failing that cut some apples up and throw then on the lawn.
