Stormy in the Bahamas

I just got back from a week in the Bahamas on Andros Island. There were some terrific storms (mostly terrific because they didn't rain on us!). Anyway, enjoy!

I like them both. The colors in the second one are surreal.

I never thought I would write this here, but...
Could you make them a little bigger? Say 600 to 800 pixels wide?

Thanks for the comments. I don't know what PP is, but if you mean have I changed them in photoshop, no. That's what made them so spectacular to me. If I make them larger when they are so compressed, aren't they going to look like crap? Anyway, I'm not sure how to do that. I only know how to compress a pic and this is what it gives me. Sorry Curtis.

Very nice photos. I particularly like lightning shot. 25 second exposure and it turned out great even in the foreground.

PP - Post Process usually with Photoshop around here

Assume you are using some sort of editing software. You can generally resize the image to 800 pixels on the long side. If you constrain proportions it will change the short side accordingly. Then save as a jpg and get it around 90-95K in size for posting here.

Of course, it does matter what size you are creating in the camera....I've only used large jpg and RAW from my 300D so I don't know what that might do to image quality.

You obviously have a good eye for photography. Shooting in RAW format and learning how to process the images will allow you to do so much more with your talent.

There are many choices in terms of software. Start with the stuff that came with the camera and browse through the post processing forum here for more tips. Lots of people here to help you if you get stuck.
