Can anyone give me an ID on this first bird? I added a few other bird shots from this shoot too.

The first couple shots are of a first winter/juvenile Black-crowned Night-Heron. All nice shots. I like the silhouette of the Heron.

The gull shot is art, like them all.

Photography is my only pathological addiction; hopefully it won't drive me to something worse.

That's a heron I've never seen before -- the last time I went to this part in the early morning, there were Great Blue Herons and Great Egrets all over the place. It wasn't until sunset that a GBH returned, so I was lucky to have waited -- here's another sunset shot with the GBH in it.. thank you so much for the compliments, txcanon!

Thank you so much, Paul A -- I appreciate the compliment about the shot being "art" as that's what I strive for :o)
