When shooting a moving object, whether sports or just a child running around, which mode is giving you the best results? It would be interesting to see how the % pans out.

I warmed up to expansion almost immediately since it mimics the setup of my 5D2 where I use center AF point and expansion for tracking in AI Servo. Haven't given the other modes enough of a chance yet, but from what little I've used all 19 points, it seems like the camera has no trouble handing the AF duties on to the next point as I track birds in flight. It depends upon both the subject, the background and surrounding objects. It also depends upon how you combine the AF point selection mode with various Custom functions in block III. Def agree that it depends on the situation and the various customizations you can do. However, what mode are you using most for what you shoot? Ive never thought about it like that. Well, the camera lets you choose the starting AF point, and once focused, it will follow the subject around the entire grid of AF points. I tend to start in the middle, but that doesn't have to be the case. Tom
