I can't make up my mind on this photo and would love to hear your critique. I was at an executive retreat, and took an hour to snap some photos of the grounds. I find it interesting, but perhaps a little busy?

Michael, I'm as much an amatuer as you can get, but it looks a little busy to me. However, I took a digital photography class and our instuctor said if the person who takes the photo is happy with it, then its a good photo in that sense. There are all kinds of things that professionals look for in a photo, but I take my photos to please me, and learn what I can from my mistakes.

I agree. I find the wheel more interesting than the background. Next time, I think I'd try and isolate it more with a plain background (like the sky) if possible.

Great barn pic, but there's this wheel in the way :) In other words I agree with the others. I like the idea, but maybe find a way to put the wheel in the foreground or off to the side....
