Working on editing on a new laptop rather than the desktop.. mostly for ease of doing it this way..

Colors look to me like they did in the gym but I'm open to suggestions .. I do edit with the desk lamp off and with minimal if any glare, they introduced new home jerseys tonight. Also working more on using less % on neat image to eliminate some of the plastic body parts

3. #20 is a 6'3 junior who'll be playing for the U of Minnesota in 2 years.. I didn't get any shots of her on offense (I should have but the game wasn't a runaway score) but she had around 10 blocks and scored 40 pts. And yes, she has a hand ;)

Nice job framing the action. I have been experimenting with custom white balance recently and have been very pleased with the results. Try using AWB the first half of a game and then switching to custom the second half to compare.

I hear you on neat image. I think the default settings are a bit much and have been experimenting with the different percents.

Whatever setting on NI you used produced great results. The default setting is too strong in my experience. I do see some noise but think it adds to the natural look of the colors and skin tones.

Personally I think the timing is good, but your editing on these needs some work.

1. WB is off.. quite off. Id move away from magenta/reds in order to get this one correct.
2&3. Nice timing, but these look like they have been super over sharpened.

The noise doesnt bother me any like it does some, but overall nice work.

Interesting on WB being off.. since I don't see it .. the colors and light looked natural (at least look like the gym itself.) I haven't done a custom WB in the gym with the 50D yet so I'll compare with next time. The over-sharpening you mentioned, and in some other bball "halo-ing" I posted in December, seems to be just those two gyms that have rows and rows of fluorescent bulbs that are reflecting off skin..but could be a setting in neat image that sharpens then afterwards?

Not to complain about good lighting, but it's harder in the more vertical boys game ..

Now that I think about it I might actually try standing rather than sitting next time to get a different angle from the lights just to see
