is the III model enough for a back up card for 5d MK2? I have the UDMA model for shooting video, but for $69 thats an awesome deal.

backup? that's my main card i use (i've got 2).

can the 5D2 take advantage of UDMA cards?

Extreme III is more than fast enough for video or photo in 5D Mark II. Have shot multiple 1080p video on my 16GB card without a problem. You only need UDMA or higher transfer speed when you unload your files to computer. Even then, you will need high performance card reader to take advantage or higher speed...

Costco has the Sandisk Ultra II 8GB's on sale for ~$27. I know these are kinda slow...but I noticed today the boxes said 30MB/s, same as the Extreme III's.

If that's correct, then same as the post-rebate price without the rebate hassle.
