I finally got the chance to get the light even in this particular gym Sometimes it is difficult because there may be bleachers on one side but not the other. I have struggled to get the light even.

Hope you like them.
Mike

not bad Mike. It is possible that they are a tad dark but the action is good.

So what did you do to mount the light on the other side, opposite the bleachers, a tall light stand?
I have that very same problem in all the MS gyms I shoot in. I have a solution for one gym, but that's it. Any set up shots?

Chas, in the CV/Seven Lakes game,I had 2 lights stands in the same spot on each side of the court behind the baseline.

I will face the question you pose tomorrow night. The school has bleachers (collapsable) on one side and nothing on the other. Last time I clamped a light on the hand rail and used a stand on the other. That created uneven light because one source was farther away from the court than the other. I may have to use two stands and attach one to the hand rail with the ball bungees and raise it up to the same height as the one one the stand on the other side. The hard part is the hand rails lean outward some so the bleachers can be collapsed. I have an umbrella bracket and plan to use it to help level out the light so my aim will be better.

Also, foot traffic will be considerable since this light will be just inside the door where spectators come in and the players go out to the locker room on that end. The good thing is once I get set up, I will shoot two games Fri night and two Saturday. I won't have to tear down and set up again for Saturday. A plus for me is I have shot in the gym several times, know the head basketball coach, and they lock up everything at night so no one will be tinkering with my stuff. Last time, I locked up my FatMax and locked it to the bleacher steel frame.

Team benches on the other side (Notice I got the team to turn around and face me so I could use the strobes! :-) )

Hmmmm, nice! I also like the web site, print order format. How much a month does that cost you?

Thanks, but that is not mine. If you like, contact Jason Jump. He is the publisher of LSCSN.COM He could give you more info. I just shoot for him.
