A fairly bleak shot of a couple of crows in the trees behind my house.

We've had snow on the ground for three weeks continuously now, so natural food is at a premium. The crows were nibbling at shoots in the tops of the trees...

The camera decided to focus on the branches, so the birds cam out soft, hence the mono treatment.

Not bad, kind of an artsy look to it. Sometimes silhouettes are the best you can do.

they don't have much going for them outside of grey on the beak and they get a little color refracted from the neck when front lit. Worth shooting anyway.
