Very nice Mr Soze.

I'm happy to not see another way over done Milky Way picture.

This photo got a pleasing reaction when I posted it on my timeline on facebook. When I spotted this thread I decided to see what you guys thought. Believe it or not it is one tree. My 50D was put on timer and nestled down in, what I would call, the groin of a tree with multiple limbs. I exposed for the bark, so the upper reaches of the tree are burned out. It was morning on a grey day a couple of weeks ago.
PS Taken using my Tamron 10-24 that is still not on the equipment list so I can't pick it.

I took this one in the era before digital cameras.
I believe it is an old chestnut tree that was probably the last one standing after the blight got all the rest.

While I wouldn't call it my favorite tree photo, I wanted to post Southern California's unepic Cherry Blossom opportunity. lol. This is probably the most concentrated amount of cherry trees I could find in Orange County. They are too small for epicness. I think there are some various botanical gardens in Southern California that have a handful of large mature trees that would make for some better compositions, but in terms of sheer numbers, HB Library is probably the place.

Not my favourite, but I like it. I only discovered it last week on a visit home. It was one of a whole wood full, lovely place. Glen Park, Paisley, Scotland.

Shot at Madeira island. Madeira means wood in Portuguese.
