A cercis, or Judas tree, in our garden in France. I have always been fascinated as to why the sky is darker outside the rainbow?

This is the same tree, but a slightly different circumstance!and about a month earlier! Even although we were only 150m above sea level we had a lot of snow at times!

I've (somewhere) a photo of similar from Townsville but the growths are higher up the tree and pointing up rather than down as here. :-)

Summer shade in winter. Our garden in the Languadoc, S France. Altitude - 150 metres.

We didn't use the pool, middle right, at that time of year. Not enough shade -?-?
