Hi all,
A dreary old day here so thought I'd have a look through the files and pull out some of my favourite rabbit shots.
The first four were taken with the 50D and 100-400 and the last three more recently with the 7D and same lens.

5. These next three were taken just last weekend down in the Central Otago region of N.Z. Farmers have major problems with the sheer numbers of the humble old rabbit down that way, ravaging pasture. Whole hillsides seem to move sometimes. The first shot is of a very skinny and unhealthy individual which shows what the state of the whole population is like due to having 'eaten out' the countryside.

6. This young one is looking a bit healthier prolly only because it has only recently been weaned but no doubt will soon start looking like the one above in time.

7. Although not very effective as a form of control, hunting them with rifles and shotguns is an every day part of the high country life.
