Taken at Amalfi, IT, from my hotel balcony. Used a 10D with 24-70f2.8L with tripod and remote release.

The longish exposure seemsto have captured the colors of the town at night well.

Excellent shot. Congrats. Which hotel were you in ? It seems the "Cappuccini" to me but I can be wrong.

Rob612,

That was taken from the balcony of a room on the third floor of the Il Nido Hotel.

I highly recommend the Il Nido to anyone visiting Amalfi. Extremely clean, very reasonably priced, excellent service, very good free breakfast in a lovely breakfast room with ocean view, and the BEST coffee I had anywhere in Italy. Strong, dark, bold, probably a pot of straight expresso. Get a third floor room to get the big balconies with room to sit and relax at your outdoor table, sip your coffee and enjoy the view.

Ciao
