By clicking on the pics you get a larger version.
Some are not really sharp - did you switch off any image stabilising?

The content is not really exciting but for "first attempts" they are not bad. Keep trying and try to find a slightly more interesting street scene or location.

OK, you got them bigger now. BTW - I do not see much difference btween #3 and #4.

Although I visited San Diego years ago I think you know better than me where to find interesting spots to shoot..... I would like some more variation, a higher vantage point, may be? Keep shooting!

bottom left corner had more lights coming in and out. It was not my intention to do a light trail today. I went out to just shoot and then walking back I decided to give it a try. I will definitely be thinking about more spots to shoot.

exif data? Maybe you can bump up the ISO and lower the shutter speed. You could also do some auto bracketing and create an HDR image.

Any reason you put it on f22?

probably could have bumped the ISO up to 400 to grab more light and do a slower shutter speed (6-10 seconds) instead of running f22. I'd keep your fstops around 8-11 or so. You might bump up accordingly depending on your darkness levels.

btw you can also do PP to apply more black and darker shadows.

i though he was trying for as long an exposure as he could get and he did that perfectly. in order for him to keep the thirty second exposure and lower the f stop for less diffraction(i like the diffraction personaly makes the street lights look cool) he would have to use an nd filter.

oh if you have a uv or protection filter on take it off for night photos
