They are a great looking couple and they aren't bad shots but I think they could be processed better and really shine.

1 - Just too dark on them, they look a little flat and the blacks are hugely clipped.

2 - Again, super dark blacks, and it's a bit cool in tone.

3 - This is better, but still losing quite a bit of detail in the blacks. I like my blacks pretty dark and I do some purposeful clipping on occasion, but just be mindful of it. This is also cool though. Cute shot.

4 - Focus is on his coat, not their faces.

5 - This is nice, she looks really pretty. However in this one I might up the contrast a hair.

6 - They looks weird and pixelated.. especially the bits of light shining on her face. It's really distracting IMO.

7 - A (new) classic.. I don't know, I'd tweak it (again with some blacks but they aren't as bad as some of the others).. But it's not bad.

8 - I like this, just bring back the contrast a hair.

Again.. good stuff.. just needs some tweaking IMO.

I am super cool n' stuff.

Thanks for all your feedback.

I think the clipping is down to my monitor calibration. They look okay on my monitor, but all the pictures look much darker at my friends place......it's the same for all my photobucket images. Anyone else have problems with photobucket or is it just me?

Love #5. There's a lot being said there, and the shot itself is very nice from a technical standpoint.

What was #7 shot with? Or shot at, rather?

#1, #2 and #3 I'm on the fence about. They're all nice photos, but the vignetting kinda messes with with the tones in the highlights in a way that irks me when it's overly-present. I think the fact that you have such high contrast mixed with that flattened out tonality is what gets me.

Other than that, these are nice shots. :) I'm enjoying the poses in #5 and #7 especially.

I was going to ask you if you were calibrated.. but I was feeling like a broken record asking everyone that. Trust me.. calibration is well worth the money.

don't post pictures with black areas when brandi... (auroraskye) is around... lol. she'll bust you every time. lol

i really like number 7 actually. just wish it looked like she was grasping the wall tight and not just holding her hand there for a pose.

3 is cute. a little motion blur and the coat thing.

6... something weird going on here... why are his shoes bright but he isn't... photoshop? it throws it all off for me. and her face looks a bit odd as well.

and a little too much distortion for me in the first.

overall, they look good though.

They are nice over all. But I have to say that in the first photo the extreme distortion of the wall actually made my stomach turn right after I've just had lunch.

#1 - was shot at 16mm, I hadn't noticed the wall.....dam i got to stop pixel peeping.

This is one of the benefits of posting here: great to get a different perspective.

#6 has been PP'd to give it a surreal look - from the comments I have achieved that!

Overall, it was a very dull day and it was very cold - the couple were great sports.....I'll post up the originals when I get to it.

#7 is really nice
I almost want to say you could back off aperature like one stop
im not sure what that would have done for how far the hand stayed in focus but their heads could be a bit sharper IMO

I will try that next time. This shoot it was so cold, that the gloves were on unless we had a shot to take. But definitely something to remember for next time.

Here's a few more from that shoot, after I've had my screen re-calibrated. The Spyder 1 had finally died!
