I've been using cheap a 4 channel ebay trigger (the RC-04 model). It's firing a Genesis 200 - my other Genesis 200 is optically triggered, and my 580 exII is also optically triggered (with a slave peanut).

The RC-04 won't trigger the 580 EXII at all, for some reason - but it's not a big deal right now.

It's been nothing but 100% reliable in my home studio, on the Genesis to date - until yesterday when it stopped firing reliably, forcing me to go wired.

So, I need to upgrade. I would like to get something with two or three receivers, as I get odd results when I have daylight streaming into my room on the 580 EXII. Budget is a big concern too, as I've just bought a new lens and the lights themselves!

Should I go with the 602's on ebay? They seem well regarded. Or, would I be better off getting the Calumet triggers, and picking two receivers up? Something else entirely?

The 602s get good reviews. I have uset the CTR-301P and the Cactus V4 too. They both work great. I have 3 friends using the V4 sets and they claim they are solid performers.

I have CTR-301P and they are good, I am abotu to order the RF-602 also, I have heard good things about them..

Just to let you know.. I can trigger my older PT-04 Receivers with my CTR-301P Transmitter. So this may help you to use your older PT-04 Receivers if you get the CTR-301P. But.. you cannot use PT-04 Transmitter to trigger CTR-301P Receivers, at least that is my case.
