Good write and DIY, but too many little JC brackets to join together for the brackets, why not just buy a long one to do that.. but I like the idea and I have several Amvona softboxes, so I may attempt this too, I like the one on your blog too for the single speedlite. Thanks.

I agree, professionally done.
I must admit, I've always wondered why people just don't velcro or gaffer tape the two heads together for this purpose.

You don't have to completely dismantle the bracketry all the time. Usually I just loosen a few joints and it "folds" fairly flat. I used several little L brackets so that's it's adjustable on two planes to fit a variety of speedlites. As you can see in the photo, one is a Promaster, which is a good bit larger than the Canon.

Oh! OK. You know I did not even notice the size of the speedlites, in that case I think it does make sense. Thanks for the DIY idea though, as mentioned I have acquired many Amvona equipments when they were on ebay due to their low cost and I think i will put them to use now.. Thanks again.
