Hey, I'm just trying to get a better understanding of my mark II and was wondering if/how much the NR affect image quality. I'm presuming it makes images softer overall, but do you find it to be worth it past ISO 1000? I'll go from shooting at ISO 50 studio lighting to shooting at ISO 1600-3200 for swim meets. I know NR isn't necessary for lower ISO's, but when have you found NR useful?

The Mark IIs noise reduction is only avaible on long exposures. (I think it's like aleast a couple of seconds minimum). If you are shooting at higher ISOs, do the noise reducion in post-processing for best results.
