Bridges

I was in Newcastle yesterday and had some time to spare so took some day shots of the bridges over the Tyne.

Comments and Critique welcome.

Hi David,

I really like the 3rd one best, then the second.
I wonder if the first could do with a crop of the sky? But then again, you've seen my stuff, so my opinion's not worth a lot. (particularly for a bl***y sassenach )

Anyway onto the bridges.
David, I am with Trevor here.

No3 is great, my favourite. I like the composition, colour and balance.
No2 I like the framing of the modern Millenium Bridge inside the Tyne Bridge.
No 1 is a nice shot but the Swing bridge is a bit lost in there. ?

They're all good shots, David, but I like #1 the best. The unusual-looking clouds seem to point toward the lower right part of the picture, where you discover the little red bridge.

The only problem I see is in the titles - only picture #2 is actually about a bridge. #1 and #3 have more to do with the actual city of Newcastle.

One bl**dy Sassenach and one Crossdresser (I assume you do wear a kilt) nothing like taking over someones thread to discuss the plural of "Sassenach"

Anyhow, thanks for your comments and I think I tend to agree with you about the third - I do like that one... As for the first I do have another one which I've not processed yet - will have a look at that one tonight.

I accept what you say about the first image as it was the cloud formations that attracted me to take the shot...Unfortunately where I took that from has become over-grown with trees and to get the shot I had to raise the camera - hense a lot of sky.

Would you like to elaborate further on your comment about the titles?

The reason I ask is that they all have something else included even #2 the structure to the right of the bridge is the new "Sage Building" built for the musical arts. So even that is about Newcastle too - if that's what you meant?
