I stumbled across this Craigslist ad on another forum, and thought this could be very helpful for budget-conscious couples: http://saltlakecity.craigslist.org/crs/1525534132.html (external link)

I feel like a real pro now! I did my brothers wedding for $500. My pictures turned out good but its just to much stress. I wish her luck and whoever pays her.

I learned a LONG time ago that you do not want or need everyones business. "in this kind of deal" make 3 people happy, #1 the guy down the street that is only selling cheap price, # 2 the person that is only want a cheap price, #3 yourself, the person, selling cheap price, won't be in business very long, #2 the person buying cheap, will be looking for quality after this experience#3 yourself because you do not have to deal with either one of them !!! leaves your time for a good client.

First of all of course this is a joke from a frustrated real photographer.

Hartness, You charged your brother to shoot his wedding?? lol

I just got my first pair of glasses that I didn't think I needed. I apologize to anybody in the past year that I said their pictures were out of focus lol.

I moved this to TALK because you don't have an image to SHARE.

My sons are in UT and so are some good pros I know. Yes, there are a LOT of people who get married there and photographers are a dime a dozen. But the good ones are good enough that people are willing to pay them. My own nieces are pros there (3 of them). I thought it was funny she hadn't taken the camera out of the box yet! Hard to shoot with a box. :)

"I own a camera therefore I can take photos like the pros..." And all this time I thought there was so much more to it.

Oh lordy this is funny and sad. Everyone should copy-paste this fake ad into their local CL listings. I would just die if anyone is actually responding to hire a photographer with this kind of ad too (even though WE know that it's a joke to point out all the bad "photographers" advertising their services, some people out there looking to hire from CL I'm sure are just plain clueless and think this sounds like a great deal.)
