This could be a bit of fun but I also reckon it could get a bit too serious.
Anyway, lets see what happens.

Here are some of mine...

People who are supposesdly interested in photography but can't be bothered learning how to spell basic photography terms - aperatur (and variations) for aperture, lense when they mean lens

People who post a crap photo and justify it by say something like "here's a photo straight of the camera. Haven't had time to pp"

People who have their first camera, have never had any photography experience and think they are now a professional

With a long lens attached "Can you see the moon with that?" or "Gee, that's a big one"

Being loaded up like a pack horse with all my gear and being asked "Are you a photographer?" or when it's obvious I'm shooting stills and get asked "What TV station are you from"

People who give advice about bodies or lenses they've never used and are just repeating what they've heard/read somewhere else.

and last one for now, I'm sure I'll come up with something else further down the track...

People who have no idea but insist on telling you what you should be doing and how to take a better photo

Sorry if there's already a thread like this. Looked but couldn't find one

Regards, Phil

Some people claim to make money doing that.

People who think a list of what stresses them is worthwhile.

Seriously, Images that please you are what ultimately matters .. Everything else is just details.

Those that say "non-IS". Do people say, I'd like to have a non-cheeseburger?

I own a 70-200 f/2.8L, but many prefer the 70-200 f/2.8L IS. No need to say NON!

I'm not a big fan of the guy/girl that asks for critiques on their photo then gets defensive with people that offer constructive criticism.

In a sense, yes, you do have to order a non-cheeseburger. My experiences, more often than not, regardless where I go...

Me: I'd like a hamburger.
Them: Do you want cheese on that?
Me: (Thinking if I wanted cheese, I would have asked for cheese) No.

On the flip side, I owned a hamburger joint for awhile back in the early 90s, and I tried treating people as if they were intelligent. I rung up what they ordered, and more often than not somewhere along the line they would add cheese, or something else they didn't originally ask for.

Our big thing was the "special" which included fries and a drink for a discount. They'd order a burger, I'd ring up a burger. Somewhere along the line they'd say, "Oh, I wanted the special.", so I'd have to void their burger and ring up a special. A minor PITA, but when it happens dozens of times a day, every day, it gets tiresome.

I learned that I had to head the idiots off at the pass and treat everybody like idiots. It become...

Them: I'd like a 1/4 lb cheeseburger.
Me: Would you like the special?
Them: Oh, yes, I'd like the special. That's what I meant.

So yes, you do have to order a non-cheeseburger.

Okay, I hate threads like this, they are ultimately full of people that just think they are so much smarter than everybody else...

BUT - having said that, I have to agree with Lonnie here. "Yeah, I know there's blown highlights, but it was a look I was going for..." (chuckle)

I suck at spelling and often type while NAK'ing so to say your not serious if you misspell is a silly thing to say

How many people in the USA use the term AX vs ASK when ASKING a question? ROFL Now THAT is annoying

I understand the annoyance of misspelling of words, but at the same time you have to account for variation in spelling of a word.
For example: The spelling of "colour" isn't wrong just as spelling "lense" isn't wrong. Just a variation of the spelling generally due to region.

People who feel the need to chastise others for having and expressing opinions... especially when the thread is clearly titled and all they had to do was scroll on by if they truly weren't interested.
