This was my first attempt at shooting indoor sports, and my first time at a basketball match, so the photography is pretty ropey, but I'm pleased with the camera. I've uploaded an album of 86 photos, all shot at 6400 ISO with my 7D and 70-200/2.8IS. Nearly all are at 1/250 and f/2.8. They were processed in Lightroom.

You'd probably want to post this in the sports section

Thanks for the thought, but I was basically interested in showing what the 7D can do at 6400 ISO. Hence I posted in the cameras section.

The conditions of the basketball court served as a good test of the camera, but I'm no basketball photographer, or even a sports photographer, so I didn't feel that the sports section was the best place to post. I'm not trying to showcase my efforts, rather the camera's performance. I don't see myself attending another basketball game for some time, if ever, so I wouldn't want people to waste their time judging my photographic skills when the camera is the object of interest.

Nice shots! I'm considering the 7D as an upgrade from my XS and would shoot basketball games and such in dim interiors without using flash, ie performing arts, sports, etc..., the XS max 1600 certainly is limiting me from stopping action. So, thanks for posting this!

Canon Rebel XS * Tokina 11-16 f2.8 * Tamron 17-50 f2.8 * Canon 50mm 1.8 * Canon 70-200 f4 L * Canon Speedlite 430 EXII
