70-200 F4 IS and/or 85 1.8

Hello,
I possess Canon 70-200 f/4 IS and Canon 85 f/1.8. I like 70-200. Make sense to keep the 85 f/1.8? If yes, why? Thanks.

Personally I'd keep it. Might come in handy since you never know, you might need a fast and long prime indoors.

Only you know what you shoot and how. Do you use the 85 much? If not, maybe you could sell it. They still make them so you can always get another later. In general though, I think you'll find that many people do indeed have and use both lenses.

I have both along with another prime that falls into the 70-200 range. I can't imagine selling any of them although one day I might rerplace the 85 with the L but I doubt it. All are used and cannot replace each other.


Bohdan - I may be, and probably am, completely wrong.
