What is the point of posting "cool!" on a photo? I don't get why people will spend more time and letters on their sig than on posting.
meh...

I can't seem to find that thread and I can only surmise that it went way off topic and the mods killed it. Imagine that happening here, something going off topic. ![]() https://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=811583

Look at your past posts. ![]() Sure. Going through my last 20 subscripted threads, my shortest reply was four words. So yea, nice of you to miss a post like this gregpphoto wrote in post #9410494 I think you need to change your attitude. Embrace the fact that instead of having a single lens that does a little bit of everything but doesnt do anything well, you can have many lenses that do just one or two things really, really well. May cost you more, but photography is an investment. You buy a thousand dollar lens, you will have that lens for life if you're even just a little bit careful with it. or like this gregpphoto wrote in post #9400676 Wow dude. For me, these photos really show you how similar we are to all animals, even insects. It may be hard to put that together based solely on the exterior of the creature, but different versions of essentially the same genes that build the organs and structures of an insect can be found in mammals, birds, fish, and even some single-celled organisms! Seeing the "hairs" of the moth really triggered me on that thought, since how many people are aware that insects even have "hairs"? Life is beautiful. Which are very typical of my posts. I think its a waste of everyone's time to go "cool" but apparently, I'm in the minority on this issue.

Nowhere did I imply that you only make one word posts, or care that you make more than one word posts. Your one word reply was from one week ago. I'm not saying it's a bad thing, but don't harp on other people if you're going to do it, too. It was never my gripe that once in a while, you write a few words, but I do see it a lot, or I'll see a lot of writing, but about something irrelevant to the thread.
