Hello all.
Got the new 50D Monday and love it. Here is what I need to find out. I am disabled with diminished hand function and have always shot with a wired remote in my teeth to trip the shutter. This frees up both my hands to hold the camera steady. On the D60 and 30D I always left the remote on all the time. On the 50D the rubber cover is designed differantly and it sticks out and gets in the way. If it's not too difficult to get that rubber cover and change out I would just cut the lower half of it off and put a new one on if I ever sell the camera. Any thoughts on availability, part number, and changing procedure would be very helpful.
Thanks
Clay

Clay, you might be best served by shooting Canon an email. I doubt anyone here has ever replaced the cover on their 50D before. You can email them from the link under tech support here... http://www.usa.canon.com …egoryid=215&modelid=17499 (external link)

Thanks again.
Right now I'm hoping for snow or sunshine so my birds will come back. They don't show when it's gloomy.
