I've downloaded LR3 beta and am so far pleased with it. However I've noticed recently that I can print photos in LR3 but my ability to print in CS3 have gone. I can't print a thing. I have a HP5150 printer and when I ask CS3 to print, the main light flashes all the time and it makes an initial click - then nothing. The same happened when I tried to print a Word document. I tried to print a document in Powerpoint and I got a message back saying the printer was idle. Device Manager tells me nothing is wrong. I have Windows 7 64 bit and just profiled my monitor yesterday with i1 Display 2.
I admit there are a few variables there but I'd appreciate some advice. LR3 prints beautifully btw!

I haven't seen this problem, but I'll bounce this for you -- did you try closing LR before printing from one of the other apps? Did you try power cycling the printer.

I guess it's possible that LR has somehow "locked" the Print Spooler -- you can try to restart the print spooler (or reboot the computer) and see if that gets the other apps conncedted.

If you get it back running and then this happens again specifically regarding LR, then you might want to file a bug report for LR so it can be worked on.

Thanks Tony

I think I closed LR before printing but I'll try again. I will try the other things you mention and get back to you. I brought this up in LR3 Beta forum and got the reply back that they didn't think that LR would affect printing in other programmes but its highly coincidental.

Uninstalled and re-installed the printer and now working but with strange coloured bands across the print.
