Im off to NY soon and was wondering about photography in the city. Would the cops have a problem with me walking around with my 5Dmk2 and 24-70 lens or even the white canon 70-200?

You need to ask, in advance, on a photography forum whether the cops will be okay with you carrying camera gear around with you on the streets. I know this is said all the time, but I just can't believe what the world is coming to.

MikeFairbanks wrote in post #9415105 Are you saying the police in London will give you a hard time based on your camera choice? That doesn't make sense. Orwell? They're not that bad!! There are some restrictions on tripod usage around the capital and some areas are policed a bit more vigilantly but on the whole the police leave you alone. I have carried 2 bodies and large lenses around for years and never been bothered by police. It is not something that even crosses my mind when I go out to shoot. www.mikegreenphotography.co.uk
