These shots are actually a couple of months old but I'd really like to get some C&C! I'd love to hear people's thoughts on both composition and PP if possible. :)

some people might like the angle shots, but I prefer strong buildings like this to be shot straight on.

1 and 3 are my favorites. I especially like number 3.

Thanks for the comments! :)

pickupman92 - I understand exactly what you're saying about the angles - if I could have elevated myself to a point higher up I would definately have experimented with some straight-on shots, but it simply wasn't possible. :( However, the 'looking up' style did allow me to cut out all of the junk on the ground (i.e. moving people and inappropriate vehicles), leaving me with nice clean photos, if nothing else. It's down to personal taste I guess; one of my teachers likes the 'looking up' style and the other likes a more 'straight on' style like you! :p

focus.pocus - When I have enough money I will indeed buy a wide angle lens, I've been meaning to for a while! :) I'm experimenting with macro at the moment though so all my money's gone, lol; I'm still at school so it takes a while for me to save!

Thru my eyes - Thank you! :D 1 and 3 are my favourites too. I tried to do something a little different with 3 by making the roof of the building parallel to the vertical edge of the frame, attempting to 'lock in' the clouds/sunset, so to speak.

Thanks again for the comments, they are much appreciated!

I'd love to hear any other C&C people anyone may have to offer!

#1 & #2, eh, not much to get thrilled about. #3 & #4 are better. Not as building shots straight per se but as interesting angles. #e3 without the light pole is very appealing.

I have seen one or two of these before somewhere on this forum...?

#1 - May be you could crop out the interfering building on the top left.
The other ones are nice although a blue sky would enhance #2.
I like the "angle" shots.

I like #2 & #4. Take out the yellow lights in the windows in #4. Distracting.

Hard angles are fine for background images to put text around for ads and such in magazines, powerpoint slides etc. I have a tilt shift lens that you can take out the lens distortion and put the edges of buildings straight. For "Architectural" shots, having as real to the naked eye almost looks too good at times and is pretty cool to experiment with. Rent one if you can.

I would prefer to see the whole bldg from ground floor to top floor. IQ is really amazing. Whats your setup?

I wouldn't mind the tilt in #3 if it weren't for the light pole on the right. Somehow the building is okay, but the pole just makes the whole shot wrong. Only my opinion, of course.
