Can I do this for CPS?

This is for my mom who makes a living from portrait photography and has been published. She has the 85L and a 5D, and I have a 70-200 F2.8 and a 40D. My uncle who is also a photographer has a 24-105. Could we list his lens and serial down and also give him some of the benefits of CPS if he needs them?

If my memory serves me correctly Canon Canada requires a minimum of one 1series bodies in your repertoire of bodies to qualify for CPS membership. It has been awhile since I got mine so I am sure that someone will correct me if I am wrong. I think the minimum lenses was two L series and you have to be able to proof that your primary income is from photography.

I suppose you could add your uncle's one lens into the mix but he would not have direct access, it would have to be done through your mothers name if she were approved. If your uncle has registered the lens to him and they bother to check something like that it could cause you some heartburn on the application approval.

I have been a member for a number of years now and it nice to get the pro pricing but that is only on pro bodies and lenses. I've used the rush repair a couple of times.

I don't know how they are these days but when I applied they were being very vigilant on who they approved. If they thought that you were just a weekend warrior they turned you down. Perhaps someone that has applied lately can add a comment here.

What is it that you expect to get out of the program.

CPS requires 51% of your income is related to photography...don't know how they check for that but I'm sure they do somehow.
