I wonder if this post processing works in this shot? Should i crop the top of the tree?

I think cropping the tree makes it more focused on the boy. That seems to be where the focus should be.

When I first clicked on this thread and it loaded, I only saw only the top of the tree I thought ' that's not bad, a cool effect'. Then I scrolled down and when it got to the boy and thought the color in the photo doesn't look right at all. I agree with sckryzhn, that it works better for nature than on people. The effect just seems off on the boy.

Thanks for the feedback. I know photoshop can fix the color of the boy`s face, but here is the crop I made...
