So I was talking to my hairdresser Saturday. About my photography and basically just got volunteered more like Volun-told For doing some Shots for the salon for the stylists. I've made it VERY CLEAR that I'm still new at it. There ok with that seeing how It will just be for practice for me and I'll give them a release for the pictures and I'm doing it for free. They're thinking about 10-20 Girls to take their pictures for Hair Styles. I have a Black back-round and white back-round I can Manage to Hang up there. I have two umbrella Lights that I can use. I know she talked about maybe doing a couple outside. I'm really nervous about this I know if they dont like them they just wont use them. Any Advice here on how to approach this I've been searching for pictures that people have done to get some idea's.

Any tips Would be great ! Its a Lower End Salon but I still want to make them Nice looking

Don't forget to get before/after shots (more for reference than advertising). Also, don't forget to get some reflection shots. Shoot over their shoulder, getting the actual person's head in the right 1/3rd of the frame and the reflection in the left 1/3rd. The person's real head will be OOF and the reflection will be in focus. Shoot about f/8-f/10 on those. That way the head isn't just a blob in the frame. Make sure not to get yourself in the reflection, though. This will add a little creativity.

Make darn sure you post the results, too. We want to see them.
