I need mo power! This is the best I could muster today. I was having focus issues so I finally gave up and went home. This is one of three eagles nesting a few miles from my house. After feasting on some sort of critter, it took off and flew right over me and several other photographers standing on the side of the road. Yep, it was litreally a drive by shooting!

I may give it another try tomorrow.

awesome shot! it always takes me forever to get the animals to even shot their faces let alone pose like your eagle did. those wings are HUGE! he looks like hes shown them off. lol

That is one awesome pose from that bird Mike. And I like the fact that there are no distractions in the BG.

As you have image editing turned on I hope you don't mind these changes. About 15 seconds worth in DPP of your posted jpg. I'm sure someone else will be able to do alot better than this and be able to bring out more detail than I have.

Two weeks in Alaska (where you couldn't swing a dead cat without hitting an eagle) and I never got a shot as nice as this. Beautiful!

My exact thoughts, Tim. He flew right over us, but to the left a little bit. There is a golf course across the road so I think he decided to go squirrel hunting or wabbit! :-)
