I've been trying to find a diffuser with no luck and I'm afraid if I order one it won't be here in time. I'm in upstate NY. Anything I can use in place of a diffuser to soften the flash? or does anyone have one I can borrow/buy and can ship quickly?

Titus213 Cream of the Crop  More info | Jan 19, 2010 09:58 | #3 A simple 3x5 white index card can be rubber banded to the flash head to use as a diffuser. My only additional suggestion would be to mount the diffuser on the short side of the flash and then it would work better in portrait orientation. Dave

pablo9 Member  91 posts Joined Aug 2007 More info | Jan 19, 2010 13:54 | #7 I made one using white and black foam. Since I use velcros for my filters, I simply added a velcro to the diffuser and I don't have to worry about rubber bands.
