Latest Jr."B" Hockey - Saanich Braves

Its been a bit since posting (busy with shooting hockey tournaments) but here are a few samples from latest Junior B games I have covered. First 5 images with 135mm f2.0, last three with 70-200 f2.8 and were actually shot straight to JPEG at 6400 ISO with in camera NR set to "Low" (results not too bad)(normally I shoot RAW). C&C appreciated. Other EXIF should be embedded.

Hard to argue with those results. Nice work (btw: I am J. Stewart Photography jstewartphoto.com), so the name caught my eye!)

Nice shots Chris, are you shooting through the glass or is there cutaway sections ?

Shots 1,2,4 and 5 were from the penalty box at center ice where there is no glass (I am allowed access) and the remainder are through the glass. There are no cutouts in this rink but I may approach rink management to see if it could happen (probably slim chance as it is a municipal rink). They are at least trying to keep the glass cleaner than usual at my request.

Thanks! I owe it to PP...this rink is very dark and I usually get a lot of noise in the reds and blacks, so I try and compensate as best I can. Glad to hear it looks pretty good. You guys shooting strobes don't know how easy you have it!!
