Hey I recognise those teams....LOL
Well done. My daughter will be down your way in the next couple of weeks for playoffs. I will be looking for another big white lens.

It looks like your rink is dark so I assume you will need high ISO (3200). I'd suggest starting in Manual mode with 1600 ISO and 1/400 shutter speed and with aperture at f2.8. Then adjust your ISO as needed (up) so that you are getting at least +1 stop over on your exposure (to allow for all the white ice). In dark rinks I find 1/400, ISO 3200 and f2.8 is bare minimum. Try not to let shutter speeds drop below 1/400 even for little tykes hockey. You may even give ISO 6400 a try if needed as 7D should handle that OK. You may also need to adjust photos in post processing..usually I have to boost exposure a touch plus some other tweaks. As to shots here. most are 1/400, ISO 2500 and f2.8 or f3.2 with 50D and 70-200f2.8L. Thanks again for the advice. Had a game today and results were much better with the 7D. Still not where I think I can be but much much better. Check them out here: http://www.flickr.com …4/sets/72157623279214404/ Dave
