That was an area that I was wanting to try this year, but it has been WAY too cold for my liking. When we do finally have a warming trend where the temps are close to freezing, it's cloudy. Looks like I'm going to have to wait a while.

I know I am no judge, but i'd say smallmadtv has it hands down! Just an awesome shot!

I would tend to agree. I had no clear nights to have another pop which is a great shame as Orion is now getting a little low in the sky to image.

I didn't really get a chance at this one unfortunately...have to wait until next year now.

Same here Chris...we've been clouded over for a month now and had a record snowfall for February. The forecast does look like I may get another chance this next week, but Orion is south and fairly low in the sky and we have the moon glow to contend with now too. I think someone in northern Virginia must have just bought a new scope :rolleyes:

I took this image a couple of years back. Wasn't possible for me to image it at this time so if its can't be in the challenge no wories. Thought I would share it anyway.
Takahashi ED180 telescope, 10 7 minute subs at iso 800. Moded Canon 40 Takahashi NJP mount.
