I couldn't find any threads about it, so here's one.

For the one of us that do a lot of PP in Photoshop, here's a thread to show off your custom brushes.

For the ones of you that don't know how to make your own brushes, here's how.

Start with a new white document (file/new) choose the size and OK. Then you can draw anything you like with Black. When done, go to (Edit/Define Brush Preset) and click OK. Now you have your new brush at the end of your brush pallet and ready to use.

you can pretty much use any image you like and make it a brush, as long that the background is pure white and have your design in black. You can also have shades of grays in there, those will be transparent depending on how dark or light they are.

Here's a few basic ones I made and use for catch lights.

Beauty Dish

Umbrella

This one is to use with a layer mask with the catch light

to get this effect

PS: you can have these brushes by right click/copy image then open a new document in Photoshop and paste it.

Here's an example that any image can be a brush.

Nice idea for a thread and hope we get some more great ones like what you've already posted!

Hello,

I made these brushes. Its my first asset ive ever made for the public. Im going to start doing it from now on.

Other firsts: signing up for this site. searching for where to share assets. Google didnt know what that meant and I found you guys.

from the readme:
These brushes are free. They were made from a hubble image of galaxies (located here: https://www.spacetelescope.org …rchive/category/galaxies/ (external link))

They look like stars but in reality they contain billions of stars each.

The WACOM version has rotation on angle, scatter on pressure and a very wide spacing

Check out my design and illustration services...and a cool site in general.

please link and share this zip file so I can eat
