The fact of the matter is if you are on their property, they can regulate if you can photograph anything. Since that's where many of the best shoots can be had... it's a lick on you.

Good idea, but you have to be careful because Sikhs carry knives.

The issue isn't so much whether photography is allowed or not - the CTA policy is that people are allowed to take photographs for personal, non-commercial use - it's the fact that "excessive photography" is vague and is likely to result in a lot of false alarms and hysteria because some people might think five is too much, 10 others, etc.

Well that is the issue as they can dictate the terms! It's common knowledge the RR are 911 hot spots, some lines are more nervous than others... and there may be good reasons for this.

Regardless, if DHS, ICE, etc. notices you, no matter if you are on public property, you may get a knock on your door sometime in the future.
These look out warnings aren't anything new, I've seen similar ones issued to people who own boats.

Remember that we're talking about the same city with the same mayor who bulldozed an airport to provide a park for his wi.. *AHEM* To provide more security for the city!

It's a completely ridiculous policy. I seriously doubt that a potential terrorist is going to sit there in plain view taking 100 shots of a train from the same angle; I would suspect he only needs one or two. Utter stupidity and lack of critical thought on display by officials here. Is there no common sense in government anymore?!?

If there ever was, which is very much in doubt, it's gone now. ;)

Al Queda must be smug.

I wish we'd just remove that smugness once and for all.
