nasty 28-135mm -- worth repairing?

guys i picked up for nothing, a 28-135mm IS Canon zoom

it is absolutely broken. i shake the lens and it jingles inside like an infant's toy. i look thru the glass and it looks totally brutal. theres a crack also on the plastic of the front protruding barrel.

its is absolutely bad shape.


is this worth fixing? how much would you think it costs to have repaired ? probably needs new IS element.. prob some major optics repair too.....


any thoughts?

Trash it. The lens is $225 used (if you keep your eyes peeled), and Canon charges a minimum of $144 for any repair. Add in parts, and you're in the "no point" zone.

trash it. lens si too cheap to be repaired from canon.
