I like the second shot a lot; nice capture.

The first one seems to be lacking in composition. You just about cut the frame in half with the horizon. I'd like to see either less sky or less water.

Especially with night shots you want to pump up the saturation.

Really? I've never heard that before. I tried it, and it didn't much for the 2nd shot, and made the first one look over-processed.

Can you elaborate a little please? Thanks

Thanks for the critique.

I'm going to play with cropping out the left bright lamp and a piece of the sky in the 2nd shot to see if it becomes more aesthetically pleasing (closer to the 1/3rd's rule)

Attaching a quick 1 minute edit. I added blue, pumped saturation, and added vibrancy. You probably haven't heard about the saturation thing because it's not a rule.

Meh, I don't like that newest edit. Wayyyyy too much blue in the docks.

Thanks a lot.

I need to play with it some more at home. It does seem to be a bit "too" saturated for *my* tastes now, but I think an in-between can work well.

Gives me an idea of what to work with. Thanks.
